KTS Room Designer.

A bathroom drawn as it stands, redesigned, and handed over as a plan. Every figure on it says where it came from.

Made for plumbers who fit bathrooms. It works in a browser on your phone, tablet or computer, so there's nothing to install.

From the room as it stands to a signed-off plan.

Start a job, measure it, redesign it and print it in one place. A figure nobody has measured yet is marked as an estimate at every step.

01

Start from photos or a plan

Add up to twelve photographs and three plans, and AI drafts the bathroom as it stands. Every figure in the draft is an estimate until somebody tapes it. Or start from four figures you've already taken.

02

Measure on your phone

Standing in the room. The measuring sheet numbers what's still to measure, and each reading records who held the tape, when, and what with.

03

Redesign in 3D and on the plan

Fittings, finishes, lights and doors, changed in the 3D model and on the plan together.

04

Your own products

Save anything you've set up as one of your company's products, and pick it again on the next job.

05

Print it with your name on

The plan and the measuring sheet carry your company's name as DRAWN BY and RETURN TO, and a stamp that says how far the figures on them can be trusted.

06

Sign off the design

The whole design at once, under your own name. Change the design afterwards and the sign-off comes off, so a signature always means that exact design.

An estimate never passes for a measurement.

A figure that hasn't been taped on site, whether it was drafted, typed in roughly or read off somebody else's plan, is an estimate, and the drawing says so. Nothing in the app turns a stamp off.

Estimate

Stays on the sheet until every figure of the room as it stands has been taped.

Draft

Stays until the design is signed off, and comes back if you change the design after that.

Who held the tape

Every reading carries a name, a date and what it was taken with.

Every version kept

The history shows who saved each version, when, and what it changed. A change is always a new version.

Built for the job, not the office.

  • 01Laid out for a phone, a tablet and a desk, with every button big enough for a finger.
  • 02A job is kept under your own reference. There's nowhere in it to store a householder's name, address or phone number.
  • 03Undo takes back a tape reading like any other change, and a saved reading is corrected with a new one, so the old one is kept.

Be the first to hear when it's ready.

It isn't open to anyone yet. Register your interest and I'll email you when the first version goes live, so you can start a two-week trial.

The closed beta

Before that, I'm choosing a small first group of local plumbers to use the Room Designer before it's finished. Tick the box on the form to be considered, and if you're chosen:

  • 01Your login comes by email.
  • 02It's free for two months from the day your login arrives.
  • 03In return, you tell me what works and what doesn't, and report bugs as you find them.
  • 04When the beta ends, testers get a discount on the finished app.

Ticking the box doesn't guarantee a place. If you're not chosen, you stay on the list and hear from me when the first version goes live.

KTS Pro Solutions is me, Kyle Skelly, an MEng engineer in Lancashire. The Room Designer is my own product, and your feedback comes straight to me.

What you'd use it on (tick any)

I'll use these details only for the Room Designer: to email you when the first version goes live. If you tick the beta box, also to choose the first group of testers, to email you a login if you're chosen, to ask for your feedback while you use it, and to tell you about the discount for testers when the beta ends. They aren't passed to anyone else, it isn't a newsletter, and you can ask to come off the list at any time. See the privacy notice.
