Should I choose an HTML package or a Next.js package?
The HTML + Tailwind CSS packages (Essential £300, Business £700 and Premium Static £1,300) suit brochure sites and small-business websites, and they're the quickest to deliver. The Next.js packages (Launch £1,500, Growth £3,000 and Scale £5,000) are for sites with more moving parts: a content editor, a database, user accounts, a shop or bookings.
If your site mainly needs to explain what you do and bring in enquiries, HTML is usually the right fit. If you can already name a feature that needs a database behind it, start with Next.js. Tell me what the site has to do and I'll recommend one.
How many pages do I get, and what if I need more?
Essential covers 1–3 pages, Business up to 8 pages and Premium Static unlimited pages. On the Next.js side, Launch has up to 8 routes and Growth unlimited routes; a route is simply a page address on a Next.js site.
If you outgrow your package's limit, an extra page is £50 per page, so one more page doesn't mean moving up a whole package. The full list of add-ons is in the pricing section above.
Is hosting included, and where will my site live?
Sites are deployed to Netlify or Vercel through a Git-based workflow, so every change to the site is versioned. Setting up hosting and deployment can be added to any package for £100.
Once the final invoice is paid, the live deployment moves into your own account along with the domain and the code. Ongoing hosting isn't part of the build fee, and keeping the site hosted, working and findable is what a Cover plan is for, from £3 per month. See the pricing questions for running costs.
Do you write the words and supply the photos?
Only if your quote includes it. Writing content I haven't been asked to write, and taking photographs I haven't been asked to take, aren't part of a website package by default.
If the quote says you're providing the text and photos, I can't start the pages that depend on them until they arrive, and that's the most common reason a project runs late. So the earlier you gather them, the sooner your site goes live. What else I'll need from you.
